Jesus “grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52)

With this verse as our framework, ASM is compelled to address the needs of the whole person in our approach to Child Development which includes education, health & nutrition, and spiritual formation.

The Motivation

We believe that education is one of the most effective tools in the fight against poverty.  When children obtain a quality education which includes the development of essential life skills, they can reach their God-given potential and provide for themselves economically while contributing to society as a whole.

The Challenge

Children born into poor families are at risk of continuing the cycle of poverty due to lack of access to knowledge, education, and skills development.

The Opportunity

As education is a core aspect of both human and economic development, education unleashes one’s productive and creative potential in a way that not only equips the student to be an exemplary employee, but also an entrepreneurial job creator and technological innovator.

Education, in symphony with ASM’s broader holistic development approach, will equip students to help themselves and their entire families not only break the cycle of economic poverty but also advocate for their own legal rights and protection.

The Means

ASM provides tuition sponsorship, uniforms, school supplies and other related support for children living in extreme poverty through our student sponsorship program.

We also partner with students in need of homework lights as a component of our Community Development efforts.

We focus on primary, secondary, and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

TVET students obtain market-relevant skills which enable them to secure employment or even create employment.  Students elect fields such as Construction, Electricity, Hospitality and Tourism, Carpentry, Tailoring, Mechanics, Agriculture and Food Processing.
