In pursuing shalom, we focus on the entire child, engage the entire family, and offer economic development opportunities to the entire community.

We prioritize our efforts by focusing on those living in extreme poverty.

We believe God has placed resources – skills, talents, networks, problem-solving abilities, and entrepreneurial creativity – within the communities themselves. An asset-based approach dignifies the community members by acknowledging their own resourcefulness and potential instead of treating them as passive recipients.
As ASM prioritizes the extremely poor, we actively challenge and engage local churches as they fulfill their biblical calling to care for the most vulnerable in their respective communities.
